Who can apply?

The Green Incubator Challenge is open to entrepreneurs, startups, companies, students, and industry professionals worldwide. Applicants should have an innovative idea, product, or solution that aligns with the challenge’s sustainability goals and can be implemented at an event. For more details, please refer to the Terms & Conditions section.

Can I submit as part of a team?

Yes, you can apply as an individual, or as part of a team or group.

How many ideas can I submit?

You may submit more than one idea per person or company, but each idea must be distinct and address a different environmental challenge or area. Each submission must be completed using a separate form.

Is there a cost to submit?

No. Submitting the application is free.

Can I submit an idea that has already been developed or used elsewhere globally?

Yes, you can submit ideas that have been developed or implemented elsewhere, as long as they align with the challenge requirements.

What kind of ‘sustainability’ ideas are you looking for?

We welcome any idea (products, services, tech solutions etc.) that can increase the positive environmental impact of sports or entertainment events and help address challenges such as climate change, carbon emissions, and resource use.

Is it about environmental sustainability only, or also social/economic sustainability?

The primary focus is environmental sustainability, though broader social or economic impacts can be considered if relevant.

Is this only for golf-related ideas or any sports event sustainability ideas?

It’s not limited to golf. We welcome sustainability ideas for any sports or entertainment event with an environmental focus.

Are there examples of the types of ideas you would and wouldn’t consider?

We are looking for ideas specifically aimed at improving sustainability in sports and entertainment events. Submissions should clearly demonstrate how they contribute to environmental impact reduction and align with the challenge requirements.

What exactly do I win?

Finalists will receive mentoring and professional support from Deloitte to refine their pitches for the final presentation on 16 January 2026. Winning ideas, products, or services will be funded and implemented at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in 2027, gaining exposure on a global stage.

What is the budget for the winning idea?

The event will commit to implementing the winning service or product, with a cost ranging between AED 30,000 and a maximum of AED 200,000.

Who will review my submission?

Submissions will be reviewed by Deloitte, along with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic Executive Tournament Director and the Sustainability Team.

What criteria will be used to evaluate my submission?

All submissions will be assessed using a balanced scorecard, considering factors such as potential impact, feasibility of implementation, and level of innovation. Further evaluation will take place during the qualification process.

When you say innovative ideas – does it have to exist already or I can come up with an idea and you will help me create the product from scratch?

You can submit either an existing idea or a completely new concept — both are welcome.

Do I have to present my idea in person in Dubai or can be online?

Overseas participants can present their ideas entirely online. In-person presentations in Dubai are not mandatory.

Will you cover flights and accommodation for an in-person pitch in Dubai?

No, participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation if attending in person.

What information or format do you need in my submission?

Submissions are made through the online form and should include all the required information as specified in the application.

Will I or my company be credited publicly if my idea is selected?

Yes, both you and your company will receive public recognition if your idea is selected.

What is the deadline for submissions?

Submissions open on 8 September 2025 and close on 24 October 2025.

When will winners be announced?

The shortlist of participants will be announced on 18 November 2025. The final three finalists will be announced on 19 December 2025 and will present their ideas at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on 16 January 2026.

When will the winning idea be implemented?

The winning idea will be implemented at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January 2027.
