The Dubai Desert Classic is the region's longest running and most anticipated annual golf tournament. Since its inception in 1989, this iconic event has brought together global golfing stars, combining world-class sport with exceptional food, entertainment, and unforgettable experiences.

Elevated to the prestigious Rolex Series in 2022, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic is a cornerstone of the DP World Tour, delivering top-tier competition and a premium golf experience.

Each year, the world's greatest players, go head-to-head on the legendary Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club, vying for one of the tour’s most sought-after trophies and a prize fund of $9 million.

The 2027 edition will once again showcase star-studded line-up of world-class golfers, including Major champions and rising global talents competing at the very highest level of the sport.

Building on the success of previous tournaments, fans can look forward to enhanced hospitality, exclusive experiences, live entertainment and much more—making the Hero Dubai Desert Classic about more than legendary golf.

Tournament Town: Bigger, better and built for families

The outdoor Kids Zone returns at twice the size, with even more ways to keep young visitors entertained and inspired throughout the weekend. At the heart of Tournament Town, it brings together hands-on children’s activities and festival-style entertainment for the whole family.

Creative experiences include arts and crafts, seed-bomb making, soil painting, playdough workshops, Fluid Bear painting and Build-A-Bear sessions, plus plenty of sparkle from the Glitter Box. Roaming acts, including The Tee Time Troupe, The Par-tee Players and The Garden Floaters, will entertain throughout the day, while calligraphy artists and caricaturists create personalised keepsakes. Families can also enjoy a two-in-one bungee trampoline, expanded soft-play areas, an enhanced VR corner, the Big Red Slide and a variety of lawn games.

 
Family Friday & Live Entertainment

The returning FamilyBeatz, taking place on Family Friday from 3pm to 6pm, will transform Tournament Town into Dubai’s first family-friendly rave. Teenage DJ Julie will take to the decks alongside live acts, creating a high-energy but child-appropriate experience designed for families to enjoy together.
As the sun sets, Tournament Town shifts seamlessly into evening mode. From 5:30pm until late, live bands, talented singers and DJs take over.

 
Eat Street: A brand-new foodie destination

A dedicated foodie street that allows you to keep up with all the action whilst enjoying a hearty meal. Designed as a haven for casual food lovers, Eat Street features food trucks with a central seating area and a giant LED screen streaming live tournament action.

In partnership with the R&A and Emirates Golf Foundation, fans at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic are encouraged to get out and reap the benefits of walking the course during their visit to the tournament via the new Step Fore It Challenge

 

Research by the R&A shows that golf spectators average over 11,500 steps per day at events, offering a unique combination of physical activity, outdoor enjoyment, and social interaction.

 

How to enter: Register your steps as you arrive and as you leave the event to be in with a chance to win prizes - every step counts – the most steps win!

Thanks to the central location of Emirates Golf Club, there are multiple convenient ways to reach the Hero Dubai Desert Classic using public transport.
There will be no public parking available at The Hero Dubai Desert Classic 2027.

Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation, including the Dubai Metro, buses, and taxis.
