Founded in 1989, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic made history as the first DP World Tour event in the Gulf region, helping to establish the Middle East as a world-class destination for golf. Part of the prestigious Rolex Series, the tournament has delivered some of the sport’s most iconic moments and, in 2023, became the first and only GEO Certified® golf event in the region.
Returning to Emirates Golf Club in January 2027, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic will welcome many of the world’s leading players to compete for the iconic Dallah Trophy and a US$9 million prize fund. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the oldest golf tournament in the Middle East, is celebrating its 37th edition from 22nd to 25th January 2026 at Emirates Golf Club. As part of this milestone year, the tournament is currently taking its iconic Dallah Trophy on a week long tour of Dubai’s schools, reinforcing its long standing commitment to inspiring young people and growing the game at the grassroots level.
There is no public parking available at Emirates Golf Club, so spectators are encouraged to use available public transportation.
Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station, on the red line, is located directly outside the entrance of Emirates Golf Club, offering the easiest and most convenient way to reach the event.
